Continued to taper for Sunday’s race with an afternoon 8 miler around the park, breezy and cool, felt sluggish and sore especially in the first half of the run.  More than anything, it was probably effects from Tuesday’s track intervals.  Like most runners, I feel the effects of a hard workout on the second day.  Still you hate feeling subpar on a run a few days before a big race.

Not too bothered by it though, looking forward to and feel ready for the Half.  It’s been a while, relatively speaking, since I’ve raced, so not sure how it’ll go.  This is both good and bad.  Would like to strategize better for it, but not having much of an expectation frees me up to just race it.
