Cold today! 8 miles on the trails in the park and around the holiday lit neighborhood. Favorite things of the holidays going on right now, the music, the coffees, and the lights.
An early running Christmas gift for me this year with the masters cross country nationals at Lehigh. Not so much the race itself – though it’s great to be in this race – but more so the place and the course. Haven’t run on that course and place since 1988. Ran some good races there, always with the adrenaline flowing at the start, towing the line with nearly 30 other teams in the Northeast NCAA regionals. Never would have thought I’d be back here in another tournament.
No matter what happens at the race, I’m just giddy at the thought of lining up at that same starting line again 26 years later and then running through that path in a similar context.
