the road to new york

Tired not from the mileage of the past week but instead from the hot muggy days, went ahead with the planned track workout today, another humid day, to prep for Wednesday’s 5k.  

Intervals of 400 metes (1 lap), 8 of them in the following splits:

                   80 (seconds), 79, 76, 76, 75, 76, 76, 75, with ¼ lap rest jog.  

The last 4 were really tough in the humidity and was pleasantly surprised by the times run.  8 miles in all, including warm up and cool down.

Felt great to get this workout in, feeling prepared for the upcoming Ronald McDonald House 5k, a nice race that takes place in my neighborhood, one of my faves.
