Exhausted Monday after a busy work day and weekend, decided to rest, sleep, and instead go for a run early this morning before a 2nd run/workout in the evening.
Morning run: 8 miles bright early morning in the park, temps comfortable, with company of early risers. A good start to the day.
This evening: A set of intervals on the track, 4 x 800 meters (½ mile/2 laps) with 1 lap jog in between. The splits were 2:36, 2:37, 2:40, 2:39. The last 2 were really tough, felt as if I was doing these just moments after Friday’s race. But got through them, intact and in good form. With warm up and cool down, 8 miles altogether.
