An 8 mile recovery run to the park and back, slow and sluggish, sore, on a warm sunny day, staying on mostly soft surfaces to give the muscles and joints a break.  Must’ve really grinded out yesterday’s half marathon, the body’s feeling it today.  Kinda looking at the year up to this point as base building, with a marathon and a half marathon as major races.  Looking forward to the next couple of months to get some speed back and run some good 5k’s.  Lost much of last summer’s racing to the plantar fascia injuries, the feet are better this year.
