(only) 2 weeks til Boston, starting to get real…
A lite and easy 7 miler in the park to recover from yesterday’s 5k and added distance. A little sore in the arms and legs but felt good generally, the easy pacing and the relatively short distance were welcome. The balmy temps in the high 60’s gave it a real spring feel, though it’ll dip back down a bit the rest of the week. Hoping the temps are similar two weeks hence.
Besides getting some anaerobic and speed work in, used yesterday’s race to break in the new Asics racing shoes that I’ll be wearing in the marathon. Been wearing them around, but was good to race them. Plan to wear them in another 5k this Saturday, getting them and myself towards peak shape.
