thank you

5 weeks til Boston

A needed mellow 13 miler, a tad shorter than it has been lately, a nice recovery run in the snow, the pretty kind.  Practiced my running mantra during the laps around the park, I try to keep something in mind for an upcoming marathon, a kind of prayer to help get through the toughest parts, and, you know, no matter the faith, or non-faith, the best prayer is to simply say ‘thank you.’  When this phrase is said out loud, there is an effect; and so it will be my mantra (and prayer) during Boston.  I know I’m going to need it at parts.  ‘Thank you.’
