Took a rest day yesterday, the body felt wrecked and zero motivation, and instead went to bed early and got some 10+ hours of sleep for the first time in a long time. Just what I needed, felt refreshed today and had enough energy to head out into zero degree windchill and get in a 16 mile run. Tired at the end, but overall a strong relaxed run and kept my form most of the way. These high mileage days of late are getting a little more routine. Let’s see how we feel tomorrow, planning on another long run, these will be the weeks to link up some consecutive long runs.
Registered yesterday for this year’s NYC Marathon, should get in based on Q time, what the hell, decided to go for the Boston-NYC double this year.
