Feeling run down, in danger of coming down with something, adjusted the training plan yesterday to make it a rest day, relaxing and playing the role of couch potato and then getting in some double digit hours of sleep, the first in a while. Woke up refreshed this morning, an off-day, and decided to do a long run, maybe another 18 miler in a week. Got myself mentally and emotionally prepared, got out on this frigid last day of Buffalo January, and slammed the 18 miler in flying colors, including a 7 minute mile pace from miles 9 to 15. The plan adjustment was wise and the run was thrilling. Now tired and sore, have gone back to being a couch potato for the rest of the evening.
