A busy day prevented a run yesterday so took it as rest day, needed it for today’s big mileage day. Between a double workout and one long run, decided on a long run in the morning, an 18 miler through the city and the park, on this gusty snowy day. While a swath of lake effect snow hit the suburbs south of us, we in Buffalo mostly got the wind and a few inches of snow. But even few inches helped absorb much of the 18 mile impact on the feet and joints, and made up for the painful and stubborn windgusts pelting the face through the wind tunnel that is Ring Road in our Delaware Park. Now it’s done and feel very good about this one. On to some protein and a beer to balance it out.
