Got out for a 12 mile run at dinner time, in the park, dark, windy, with the snow falling hard. The legs were tired and sore, but the fallen snow helped cushion the steps and ease the pain. The park was nearly deserted except for a few hearty souls out for a walk or run. Recognized a couple of the folks who, like me, are regulars in this park. Each year, I see a new person or two who come out to the park faithfully following their exercise routine, no matter the conditions, becoming a kind of ‘training partner’ through season; and I feel obligated to come out too and follow through on my plan.
