9 miles this afternoon, not too cold but the temps steadily going down ahead of the sub zero arctic blast heading this way in the second half of the week. Bracing for some bone chilling cold.
Today’s run felt good after taking yesterday off, the second rest in a 3 days. A good childhood friend was in town for business last night, so we got together to catch up. Hadn’t seen Peter in over 10 years – life got in the way, of course – but it felt like we started back up right where we left off.
And was a good excuse to take a rest day as part of December as my ‘off-season’ after a busy racing season. Serious training for Boston begins in January, but for now and the next couple of weeks, will enjoy the break and the purposefully inconsistent running.
