A tough great windy 15 mile run around Buffalo – through downtown, the waterfront, South Buffalo, the outer harbor and back up the parkway – with a couple of running mates. Hadn’t run with the guys in a while, our schedules not meshing, and the longest distance in a while, but got the chance today and was great.
Tired at the start of the run even after taking yesterday off, a not too slow pace of 7 minute miles had me working. The windgusts along the way didn’t help. But as I said, the run was great and the runner’s high afterwards was priceless. One of guys, Pat, was heading in for a minor hip surgery in a couple of weeks, so today was a nice sendoff for him. For me today was a nice pace setter for Boston training.
