Skipped this morning’s 5k. Woke up, and the fatigue and the soreness of the past couple of days hadn’t gone away. The last couple weeks had been a busy one with 10 straight days of work, lots of physical tasks working with produce, setting up the store for the upcoming holiday season. Just not up to it mentally and physically for this morning’s race, so decided to recover and re-charge with an easy 7 mile run in the park instead.
Things calm down at work this week, so will be able to get some workouts in. All the literally heavy lifting of the past couple of weeks should augment the running – sometimes you have to sacrifice the short term for the long run.
