A relaxing 9 mile run on trails and roads to recover from yesterday’s XC race and continue recovering from the previous Sunday’s half marathon. A little sore, but felt pretty good overall. Happy about yesterday’s XC, considering it’s an unusual racing terrain for me and was still feeling the effects of the half marathon. The hard run on trails will probably hasten the recovery from the half, and work as a good workout to prep for this Saturday’s probable 5k. After the summer’s foot injury, it’s nice to run these fall races healthy.
Another mild summer-like fall day, nearly in the 70’s, enjoyable, but this warm season will keep Lake Erie warm longer, which probably means more and heavier lake effect snow this winter, which will mean interesting times training for April’s Boston.
