A very good workout this warm humid afternoon. Not fully recovered from this past week, went out and got in 13 miles with a strong 6 mile tempo run in the middle. The first 4 miles of the tempo was around 6:30 mile pace, then finished with a 6:10 pace in final 2 miles in the rain. Enjoyed a nice slow 4 mile cool down home from the park.
Feel really good about this workout, a combination of distance and speed, the kind that I hadn’t been able to do over the summer due to injuries. The next couple of days will be easy distance, then planning another hard distance run on Friday. This is the big week of training for the Oct 30th half marathon and it’s going well.
