Took yesterday off partly due to a busy schedule and partly to give the foot a rest.  Also gave me a chance to reassess the training ahead for a possible end of October marathon.  After a more dispassionate review, looks like there’s still time to ease up on the training in the near future and pick it up in September if the foot allows.  Have built up enough of a base earlier in the year to consider this plan.

With increased hope for a fall marathon, went for an easy 7 miler in the park, mostly on trails and grass.  The foot felt much better than the past couple of days.  It’ll be light miles and pace, and soft surfaces for a while.
