A 10 miler yesterday in the park, with some intervals thrown in on the trails. Through the 2 mile loop in the park, put in 4 approximately 600 yard pick ups and a leisurely pace the rest of the way. Most of the run was good except for the soreness that developed under the left foot, remnants of the plantar fascia issues during marathon training.
The bottom of the foot remained sore after waking up this morning and the rest of the day, so decided to take the day off from running. Besides not wanting to really aggravate it, want to get it ready for Monday’s 4th of July 10k, a popular local race that I enjoy especially for not being the typical 5k distance. Will play by by ear tomorrow.
