the long and short recovery


Even better than yesterday’s comfortable weather, today’s cooler breezier late afternoon allowed for a truly relaxing 12 mile recovery run.  Yesterday wasn’t a hard workout, per se, but I seemed to have pushed it on the trails more than I thought during the inviting afternoon.  No need to run fast today, the weather allowed me to relax both on the trails and the roads back home.  In reality, I’m probably just now getting beyond recovering from the Memorial Day marathon.
