marathon’s a trip


A nearly perfect running weather today, in the 60’s, a slight breeze, cloudy.  A nearly perfect 8 mile run to the park and back, getting my stride back, feeling close to 100% recovered from the marathon.  Might do some stride outs tomorrow either on trails in the park or on the track to stretch out the legs for Friday’s 5k, then start getting in some longer distance runs again soon after, really miss those long runs from marathon training.  What I love about marathon training, those long runs and tempo runs don’t feel like training, they’re more like travels, especially on those lazy summer afternoons.
