goal race: Buffalo Marathon 5/29
Ditched yesterday’s shoes and went for a 10 mile run on a cold day-before-spring day. The foot that’s been giving me trouble lately didn’t get any worse during the shortened run – wanted to do more but decided to keep it at 10 to ease up on the recovering foot – which was encouraging. Did a good portion of the run on trails and grassy surfaces to ‘massage’ the foot, and that helped. Iced it for a little bit after the run. Intent of staying healthy for this week’s trip to Las Vegas, planning on some excellent running in and around the city, and especially looking forward to the Red Rock canyon area.
Forgot to mention in a previous post, this photo’s from last Saturday’s Shamrock race. I think I still have the instinct from college running days to lean at the finish if it’s even remotely close.
