What seemed like a very slow recovery from Saturday’s Shamrock run is looking like the effects of daylight savings on my sleep pattern. Every year during this period, it takes a number of days for me to adjust. (A quick editorial: they really should get rid of it, daylight savings doesn’t really serve a purpose anymore.)
So between my sleep deprived trance, fatigue, still sore plantar fascia, and congestion from apparent high pollen levels in the air stemming from recent rainy days, took a break from running today. Didn’t want to make the foot situation much worse, and a day’s rest probably will heal it. The mental break will be nice too. Have the afternoon off, will be in bed under the covers enjoying the sounds of thunderstorms outside.
