Took yesterday off to rest the sore foot/ankle and right knee. Besides, the rest of the body felt like it needed some rest as well.
The foot/ankle were less sore today, so decided to test them out with an open ended run. They were a little tender but not sore, didn’t get worse during the run, and I didn’t find myself favoring the right leg. Decided to cap the run at 8 miles. Could have gone further but why push it.
The hardest part of the run was dealing with today’s wind storm while being tired. Coming back from the park, ran into 40+ mph wind gusts for more than 3 miles. Ended up being a pretty good workout. The good news: the minor ailments are remaining minor, maybe even getting better. This is marathon training.
