trudge on

The temps were a tad higher today – might’ve reached zero degree F windchill – and was able to start today’s 12 miles in daylight.  The wind picked up by the time I finished in darkness.  Didn’t feel as great as yesterday, probably tired from yesterday’s run, and the stomach didn’t feel right. But trudged on across snow covered roads and trails, channeling the spirit of Roald Amundsen, the first man to reach south pole.  As long as I can get something in each day, this marathon training momentum should continue.  But now it’s time to get some calories in me and put the feet up for a little bit.

The wind was so bad for me today! My teammates and I spent most of our energy leaning into the wind to try to keep moving forward. Keep up the good work!
