Today’s 12 miler in a snow squall kicked my ass a little. Tried to get ahead of the lake effect storm, but got caught in the middle of it the first half of the run, visibility and traction near zero. By the time I got to the park, the snow had subsided a bit, but the traction had gotten worse with all the snow on the ground. But was nice to be in the park, away from all the traffic.
The soft snow’s lack of pounding on the legs was more than made up for by the hard work of balancing and gripping the surface. The legs and arms were definitely feeling it when I got home, a great workout.
