Didn’t work today, so had more pep in the legs, and with even milder temps than yesterday, bumped up the mileage a bit to 14 miles in an early evening run. After the usual route to and through the park, instead of returning directly back home, added on a loop through the brightly lit downtown streets.
A relaxing run like most of the runs during this off-season since the beginning of December. Will up the intensity at some point in the next month or two, but will thoroughly enjoy this deliberate ‘decompressing’ after the deep sea diving of intense shorter races of the past three years. In the past, wasn’t so keen on the Buffalo Marathon being so late in spring – Memorial Day weekend – but glad this year to take my time building up to it.
