Must not have eaten enough before this morning’s planned 12 mile run, or maybe the cold weather was draining my energy, but nearly bonked in the middle of the run and considered cutting it short. Got that low blood sugar feeling and was close to hitting the wall around mile 7, had a hard time continuing. But was still several miles from home, so decided to buckle down and finish the run. And, anyway, it would be useful for a ‘late in the marathon’ simulation. Worked on focusing on the stride and shutting out the feeling of fatigue, and was successful in staying the course. Got my mojo back and finished relatively strong, even with the cold wind in my face.
