The first noticeably cold day of the season, in the 20’s with windchill near the teens, went out for an early morning 10 miles in the windswept park along with several other hardy runners. Took a few miles and minutes to warm up, the legs never getting comfortable during the run. The quads were tight and the shoes felt rock hard in the cold.
Still, it felt good to get the 10 miles in, adding to a generally consistent period of running. It’ll get back to spring-like weather after the weekend, with temps around Christmas expected to be in the 60’s. Even tomorrow it’ll be back up in the 40’s. We runners around here are really getting spoiled so far. Thank you El Nino.
