12 miles in the park at dusk, late afternoon. Legs were tired from the past few days of double digits, but it sure felt nice to just head out for distance w/o concern for speed work. ‘Ran into’ more than a few running friends there whom I haven’t seen in a while, as Buffalo’s racing season essentially ended with the Turkey Trot on Thanksgiving, and we haven’t had a chance to get together at races since then. It was nice to see them. One was doing a tempo run, while another couple doing a long run. This time of the day at this point in the year is when we all seem to head out for a run. There won’t be a big local race where we can reconnect until February, so we’ll have to keep running into one another out here in the park until then.
