12 miles at a relatively comfortable pace to downtown Buffalo and back, tracing the middle part of our marathon course. Very mild today, in the low 50’s, some rain on its way. It’s been a mild fall so far, and there’s talk of a mild winter. We can use one after the past couple of years.
With no race in the schedule for the next couple of months, it’ll be consistent miles for a while, building up to consistent double digit days. Today’s 12 felt nice, but could tell in the quads and lower back that the body will require a slow build up to higher mileage. It’ll feel different after the last couple of years of focusing more on speed.
