A nice dry breezy day called for an easy 8 miles around town. The legs were still a little tight, the lactic acid probably settling down in the muscle fibers from Sunday’s race. Another easy day should get me recovered enough for a long time competitive local 5k on Sunday, a race to honor a U Buffalo student murdered while jogging alone on a campus path a couple of decades ago and to raise funds for public safety programs. Linda Yalem was the student, and the 5k in her memory has become a community fixture. I try to run it every year.
