Having a nice glass of ice cold water, drenched from hill repeats on this very humid day. Not as hot as it has been at times this summer, but the air’s full of moisture.
After Saturday’s 10k and after the first day back to work from vacation, felt pretty good, so, with a few days before Friday’s 5k, decided to get in a full one: 12 x (approx) 300 meters of slight incline on a quiet side street, ranging from 49 to 54 secs, averaging 52 secs. 300 meter jog rest between sprints back down the hill.
9 miles total including warm up/cool down. By the end of the ‘cool down’ run, I could honestly say I put it all out there. Now I can take it easy the next few days.
Feeling really good now.
