zen its monday

Had a day off and completely to myself today.  With no race or workout planned, it was the first time in a while I was able to just relax, the first time in weeks I was able to stroll around the neighborhood, savor some iced coffee slowly and consciously beneath the wise old trees.

I love running, the proverbial ‘labor of love’ – you know you were born to do something when putting an inordinate amount of time into it energizes instead of draining you – but with any good thing, a break does you good once in a while.

A really good day, when you can affirm life is good, can’t ask for more than this.
