8 mile in a surprisingly comfortable day, expected high humidity and instead got a mild breezy day. Added 6 x 200 meter sprints on the track – the splits in 37, 37, 34, 34, 34, 33 seconds – to keep the legs awake for the rest of week and Wednesday’s 5k ‘under the moon.’ A quiet Sunday evening in store, let’s have a great week!
Very muggy yesterday, even with a breeze. An uncomfortable 12 miles in the park, after yesterday’s 12, to keep the mileage up in the midst of a series of short quick races. Looks like the Mile portion of the season is over, back to 5k’s and beyond starting next week.
I know a couple of folks had a question about the runners and times of Thursday’s race, so here are the results of the top finishers (this being a road race, all the times are rounded up to the next second; my time was 4:48.something but was rounded up to 4:49)
We’ve had faster winning times, but the depth of competition was highest in years. Notice there were a couple of runners visiting from Germany!
