Much of yesterday was spent volunteering at Buffalo’s JP Morgan Corporate Chase run. I take this race off every year, instead working with my club to help out, and it’s a fun night afterwards.
Felt mostly good today aside from some soreness from Tuesday’s track work and Wednesday’s distance, and without a race this weekend, did a track workout on my own, a set of 5 x 800 meters(1/2 mile) w/ minimal rest in between. Eased into it with a 2:50 on the first one, then 2:45, 2:42, 2:42, 2:41, and added a 74 sec 400 meters. 8 miles in all, including warm up/cool down.
Happy about the workout, not being too concerned about time but rather the effort in doing the workout by myself. The consistent track workouts of the past month are paying off, especially in the confidence area. Riding some nice waves these days.
