the ecstasy and the laundry

A delightful 8 mile run around the park and through the soft grass carpet surfaces of the neighborhood parkway, past the art museum and the rose gardens.  Appointments to make, bills to pay, obligations to meet, but such a blissful run on a welcoming mild late spring day, while not shooing them away, makes them palatable, sizing them into proper perspective.  A great Buddhist saying goes: ‘after the ecstasy, the laundry.’ The laundry doesn’t seem so bad after a run.
