a (really) satisfying run

sunday (Buffalo Half Marathon)

A quick post for now, a busy day, tired, but good tired.  Ran a nice race today, on a near perfect morning for a long race – in the upper 50’s, slight breeze, partly cloudy – a satisfying 1:16:40, raced smart, passed a dozen runners along the way, 6 runners after the half-way mark, felt good still at mile 10 and knew it was going to be a good day.  Not a PR but this isn’t the fastest course, with its many turns, but was a course PR for me.

7th overall, 2nd master (wasn’t going to win it today, the first master at 1:13, but maybe at another time?), but was first local finisher – really proud of this – and had many friends cheering throughout the race, talk about home course advantage! A good place, a good day.
