9 easy miles in the park, mostly on trails, just to keep the legs loose for Saturday’s half. Getting warmer these days, and Saturday looks very good for a road race, 60’s in the afternoon, and probably 50’s during race time. It’s an out and back course in a state park, little else besides trees and a river along the course to distract from a long aerobic tempo run. A fun race, a good course for a decent time, with a post-race picnic.
It’ll be the start of a busy racing month of May. With a race per week, there’ll be less need and time for a strict workout schedule. When so many things happen, they usually end up sorting themselves out.
