Yesterday was an accidental rest day, after a 12 hour work day due to a combination of an extra large produce shipment, equipment troubles, and being shorthanded, an intended ‘short nap before a run’ turned into continuous 10 hour sleep. I probably needed it. In fact I’m sure I needed it, the body has a way of making you do what’s necessary.
Refreshed and feeling more rested than I have in a while, went out for a relaxed late morning 14 miler in the park in a warm steady drizzle. The sleep seemed to wipe the slate clean, clearing out the toxins that take you out of balance.
