a sunday grinder


So tired and sore this morning during an 11 mile recovery run in the park for yesterday’s tempo, but felt less like a recovery and more like a long distance run, the mileage of the past week having caught up. The quads were especially tight, so had to really use the core and back to cushion the blow and to keep the knees healthy as well.  It was a mostly uncomfortable run, a real grind, with only a couple of miles where I could find some kind a rhythm.

Was already tired to begin with, but especially after this brutal winter, it’s hard to let a decent day go by without heading outdoors for a run. Spent most of the day with my son, and now about to have dinner and rest up for the evening. Ready for the upcoming week.
