I go back and forth on the merits of daylight savings, but today’s late afternoon run in full daylight scores one for. The ‘balmy’ temps in the mid 40’s didn’t hurt. Not out of the woods yet, but see light at the end of this winter tunnel.
13 ‘easy’ miles on rested but sore legs on dry pavement. The body was in one of those good rested sore mode where all the lactic acid is let loose and partying all over the body, a couple of days removed from a race.
The dry pavement reminded me I need new running shoes soon. Was able to get tremendous mileage out of old pairs running on snow and ice all winter – one perk of training in perpetual tundra.
All in all nothing spectacular, just staying consistent.
