The high mileage of the last few weeks and double workouts the past couple of days seem to have caught up with me. Felt something in the already sore right quad during yesterday’s morning run, it stayed sore last night, and now feels like a bruise, like it’s been hit. Possibly a minor strain, so taking today off as a precaution. Probably needed a good rest day any way to recover from the past few weeks. The body knows when it needs a rest. Hopefully it gets back to the normal soreness, I’d like to get back out there. But getting into the late 40’s, I no longer bank on quick recoveries.
