The first track workout in nearly a month(?) due to schedule conflicts and more focus on XC training in the past few weeks. Felt the need to ‘re-charge’ my anaerobic fitness and sharpen up my general fitness, so did some repeat 800 meters (½ mile) under the lights with my club mates. 8 x 800 meters averaging 2:40 each, with short rest between (90 seconds). Went great, felt winded on a couple, legs ached a bit on the last couple, but overall felt great, a real confidence builder after not doing any short fast races in a while and dealing with the injury for a couple of weeks. The knee held up fine, stiffening up a tad on the last couple. But did not slow me down. Just what the doctor ordered.
