7 nice miles to, and up, down, and around on the park trails. A continuation of this week’s cross country and trail running theme. Also a nice recovery from the past 2 days of intervals. Feeling good, some nervous energy, in anticipation of Sunday’s cross country race at Treman Park in Ithaca. Will be my first race as member of Roadkill Racing’s masters team. It’s also a USATF regional masters xc championship, some high level competition from both the open and masters participants. It’s also supposed to be the coldest morning/day of the season, probably in the high 20’s/low 30’s in Ithaca along with some snow. Preceded by a 3 hour drive from Buffalo. I love cross country, it’s almost the heart of running and racing, I’ll be in my element.
