After yesterday’s nice day off from running, got in a pleasant 10 miler in and around the park. It really feels like Fall now, the leaves falling off the trees and being wind swept around. The foliage showing through the overcast and coloring the run. After a constant barrage of races during the summer, now have to continue the momentum and remember that there still are several races to do…and in these Fall temperatures that we were looking forward to.
The first xc race for me is in a couple of weeks in Ithaca and will be a usatf-niagara region’s masters championship. But before that I might jump in a local race on Saturday organized by friends from a local running club. It’s an unusual distance – a quarter marathon (6.55 miles) – and serves as a new race in the Buffalo News racing series.
