some intel before lake effect

A dreadful day of lake effect rain – basically the wind dumping buckets of water from Lake Erie over Western NY.  Luckily I was motivated enough to run early in the morning and avoided the constant downpour.  Just glad this isn’t winter or we’d be calling the national guard to dig us out of snow.

Ran 14 miles, a bit of a grind, but felt decent, this heavy mileage week nearing an end (16 Thurs, 12 Fri, 14 yesterday), with one more double digit day tomorrow.  Ran into a couple of running buddies along the way, and they joined me for about 5.  This helped all of us.  One of the guys is the coach of the cross town rival of my son’s high school cross country team.  It was a nice chance to get some intel on each other’s team, ha ha ha, no but seriously…
