16 miles around downtown Buffalo and through the park. Longest single run in many weeks. No trails today, as this was a long run to get ready for the Oct 12 Half. Now I remember how time consuming marathon training is. This was about an hour more than my normal run these days.
16 miles also got me about 16 blisters in these fairly news shoes. Some old marathon blisters – underneath the forefeet – also returned, ‘where have you been old friend?’ they asked. Hadn’t missed them much, but nice to recall some good marathon training days.
