A relaxed run of 8 miles on the public golf course and on trails. The late summer humidity added weight to legs and feet already a little sore from yesterday’s track workout. Ran by the area where my son and his cross country team were doing a light workout, a couple of days after running a great first race at a local invitational. They have another invite this Saturday. His team is a diverse grungie motly crew of mostly underclassmen, looking more like something out of the 90’s than a typical varsity athletic team. Just how a cross country team should be! They’re going places in the next few years.
