Preparing for Thursday’s mile, got in some quick speed work this morning on the track:
8 x 200 meters sprint/200 meters slow jog continuously for 8 laps. The splits in secs: 34, 34, 34, 35, 34, 34, 34, 33.
A muggy morning and still tired legs, but was good to get the sprints in just to wake up them legs for Thursday. Not sure what’s gonna happen in the race; it’s always a crapshoot when running something out of your comfort zone. The good news: the mile is over before you know it; the bad news: the mile is over before you know it – everything seems to occur in split, split seconds, ahead of your conscious decisions…
