After going into work for a few hours to deal with a large produce shipment, got in an easy 6 miler partly to prep for tomorrow evening’s Ronald McDonald House 5k, but mostly to loosen up after tossing around cases of potatoes all morning. I think the run worked on both counts. Feel a lot looser now (the sore left foot improving as well), and the relaxing run was nice prelude to tomorrow’s race. Having run this race a couple of times already, mentally went over some key points of the course and visualized the good stretches of past races.
It felt like fall again today and should continue through tomorrow evening, with rain possibly joining in. As long as it stays cool…
It’ll be a fun evening, as my son will run it too. He and his high school cross country teammates have been having a great summer of training, and he’s looking forward to testing out his fitness a little. For the most part, though, it’ll be a fun run for him…and for me.
